How It Began.
Meshira-Luxury Handcrafted is more than a brand—it is a journey of passion, resilience, and an enduring love for timeless craftsmanship. After running a boutique in Neelankarai for eight years, I took a bold step forward to bring my dream to life with a three-storey showroom in Adyar.
The name Meshira carries deep meaning: Meshi, from the Greek word for garments for trade, reflects our commitment to fine craftsmanship, while Ra honours the bond between my mother, Rani, and me, Rajashree—the first two letters of our name and also a tribute to my mother’s unwavering support.
In 2019, we were humbled to receive the Times Retail Icon Award for the Best Silk Saree Store in Chennai, a recognition of our dedication to quality and tradition. Over time, Meshira-Luxury Handcrafted has grown into a family, with loyal customers who have become cherished friends.
But the true strength of Meshira-Luxury Handcrafted lies in the people who walk through our doors. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, many of them have become more than clients, they are now friends and family who continue to inspire our journey.
From intricate Banarasi weaves to contemporary bridal couture, Rich Kanchivaram sarees and Summer dresses and suits, we craft designs to have a beautiful connect with our customers all around the world.
